Memory Of Comair Flight 5191 Plane Crash Still Vivid

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) The crash of Comair Flight 5191 was one of the most significant airline crashes in years, according to a former federal investigator.

It was the deadliest American plane crash in a half-decade.

Forty-nine people died August 27th in the fiery crash shortly after take-off from Blue Grass Airport. Even more questions surfaced about how flying an airplane off the correct runway could have gone so wrong in the early morning darkness.

Jim Hall is a former National Transportation Safety Board director and has led investigations of many crashes. He says the crash of 51-91 was probably the most significant crash of this century because of the number of safety issues.
